How To Plant, Grow, And Harvest Your Own Peas

Select a pea variety that suits your climate. Snow peas, snap peas, and shelling peas are all great choices, each with different growing needs and harvesting times. –

Plant peas early in spring when the soil temperature is around 40°F (4°C). Peas thrive in cool weather, so aim to plant them a few weeks before the last frost. –

Peas prefer well-draining, loose soil with a pH of 6.0 to 7.0. Add compost or organic matter to enrich the soil and promote healthy root growth for better yields. –

Plant pea seeds about 1 inch deep and space them 1-2 inches apart. Rows should be spaced 18-24 inches apart to allow for proper air circulation and growth. –

Peas are climbing plants, so provide a trellis or support. Use stakes, a mesh fence, or a pea tower to help them grow upwards and save space in your garden. –

Peas need regular watering, especially during dry spells. Keep the soil moist but not waterlogged. Mulching around the plants helps retain moisture and suppress weeds. –

Use almofadas estampadas, vasos coloridos e elementos como coqueiros artificiais. Esses detalhes trazem mais alegria e deixam o quintal com a cara do Brasil.
